Job 26:14

The title of my blog, "The Fringes of His Ways", comes from the book of Job, chapter 26.  Here Job describes the vast greatness that is God over all the universe.
"He stretches out the north over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing."
He talks about clouds and rain, the moon, the boundary of light and darkness.  Job speaks of God's power, understanding, and sovereignty.  After expounding on the things of God that we can observe just by opening our eyes to nature, he says this in verse 14:

"Behold, these are the fringes of His ways; and how faint a word we hear of Him!  But His mighty thunder, who can understand?"

Even when we see all of God that we can see in everything around us we are caught up short in the realization that these are only fringes of who He is.  He is always and ever infinitely MORE.  Let us bow in awe before Him!
