Some Inspiration

I'm starting preps for the weekend...making lists, more lists, and a pile or two. We're excited to go!! America's Got Talent is on again tonight...YAY!!! It even got nice enough outside to go for a short walk tonight. I'm needing some inspiration...some good reading will probably do. It must be time to dig through the bookshelves and see what's there! What inspires you?

Thought for the day

It's always good to stoke the fire...to stir up a greater desire for the Lord. I get to a point where I know it's time for some time...I just need to settle in and focus and listen. He always wants to say something to me and to you.

Drier Times

The week starts again. When I got up this morning at 6:00 it was pouring rain, and I was sure it would be freezing temperature...but it was about 34 degrees and never did freeze. After church we came home and I took a nice long nap. Later I tackled a big pile of mending and ran myself out of 3 colors of thread before I quit. Then some laundry and picking up.
We're getting excited to head out next weekend to see Kelli's family...pray the weather stays good so we can go!!

Thought for the day

I'm pretty much at a loss. I promised some inspiration with these posts, but I haven't been delivering lately. Please be patient...maybe now is a good time to talk about the dry times...you know, the times when there isn't much inspiration or revelation. Just the daily plugging along doing what you know to do and hoping God is at work in the midst of it all. God honors our days of "carrying on" and knows our hearts. He loves us, cares about us, and will walk us through. It doesn't mean that we aren't walking with Him, it's just a quiet time. If you are in that place keep walking, keep talking to Him, and know that He is holding on to you.

Inspirational

The weekend...it was great. We got to have Tabbi and the boys here for a little while on Saturday, then I spent the rest of the day getting ready for today's dinner. We got to hear Doc preach at church on lordship and being filled with the Holy Spirit (yes, at fbc!). What a treat!!! After the second service he and Nancy came to the house for dinner along with Dallas and Larry. We visited till about 2:30. They are both so wise that you can just start them with a question and sit and listen, soaking it all up. They are such a blessing.

Thought for the day

We talked today a lot about prayer and how we are united to Christ as He prays. He is praying for us right now, and because we are one with Him He is able to give us His prayer burden (a part of His "prayer list") and we join with Him in the same prayer. How cool is that? The adventure can start today for you...joining with Him in praying for the needs He has put on our hearts. Get going!!!
